<br>It is a political foundation connected to the Socialist Party of France. It is a institution under private law and organisationally and financially independent from the party. The Foundation spends half of its resources to the area of international cooperation and has a special center for the documentation of socialist thought (Centre d'Archives Socialiste), which makes its documents available electronically.
