    The NDF is not only a think tank, but a think tank network. It publishes articles and studies, organizes conferences and lectures, e.g. the annual congress of free market think tanks "European Ressource Bank". Studies, published by the NDF, are partly or entirely conducted by partners belonging to the network. According to the foundation’s audit report more than 50% of its financial ressources were spent on studies.

    New Direction – The Foundation for European Reform (NDF) is a European, political foundation. The NDF is an alliance of right-wing, free-market radical think tanks. It was founded in 2010 in Brussels, Belgium and is aligned to the [http://www.aecr.eu Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR)].

    Margaret Thatcher, former British Prime Minister, is the partroness of the NDF. The think tank is run by a four-member managemnt team and a five-member supervisory board. The NDF staff consists of six employees. The NDF is a foundation at European level and for that reason receives funding from the European Parliament. The exact figures as published by the EU-Parliament are listed down below. The NDF’s audit report, which is mandatory according to EU law, indicates with a total sum of 399,781€ a much lower financial support by EU organs. The report specifies further that 85,017€ were received from business and think tank partners.
